# Mould Testing QLD

> Mould Testing QLD inspects and tests Queensland homes, rentals and workplaces for mould and moisture — moisture mapping, air and surface samples analysed by a laboratory, and plain-English reports for owners, tenants, buyers and insurers.

Key facts (with references on each page):
- Australia and Queensland have no legislated limit for mould in indoor air; the WHO (2009) found no quantitative health-based guideline value or threshold could be recommended.
- Air sampling results are interpreted against an outdoor control sample taken at the same time.
- Queensland rental premises must be free from vermin, damp and mould unless caused by the tenant (RTA minimum housing standards; all tenancies from 1 September 2024).
- Most people have no health problems from mould; people with weakened immunity, allergies, severe asthma or lung disease are more likely to be affected (Australian Centre for Disease Control).
